A Taste of What You'll Do

Under general supervision , supports harvest operations through accurate data collection, timely data entry, and limited vineyard support. Primary responsibilities include collecting and recording harvest related data, entering and maintaining information in tracking systems and spreadsheets, and assisting with maturity sampling and other seasonal field activities as needed. This role reports to the Grape Sales & Strategy Manager on the Gallo Vineyards team and helps ensure harvest information is organized, accurate, and available to support decision-making.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

  • Minimum 18 years of age.

  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

  • Required lift and move 40 pounds.

  • Required to work in hot and dusty fields for prolonged periods of time.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor degree in Viticulture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Engineering, Enology, Soil Science, Hydrology, Geography, Geographical Information Systems or Environmental Science; OR pursuing a bachelor degree or has an associate degree plus 2 years of work experience.
