Job description

Role:
Architect, implement, and maintain an on-premises Data Warehouse to serve as the foundation for AI and analytics initiatives. Designs and builds data pipelines and ETL processes to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions. Collaborates with Data Analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data products that support operational reporting and on-prem AI workloads.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Architect, implement, and maintain the on-premises Data Warehouse to serve as the primary data platform for AI and analytics workloads. Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using SSIS and related tools to ingest, transform, and load data into the warehouse. Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures across MS SQL Server and IBM DB2, and develop data processing scripts using Python, .NET, Java, or similar languages.

Perform routine maintenance and timely troubleshooting of any data pipeline, report, or application issues that arise.
Serves in a limited Database Administrator (DBA) capacity on an as-needed basis, including tasks such as database maintenance, performance tuning, access management, and backup and recovery support. Develop a working understanding of business processes and underlying data to effectively support stakeholder reporting and data requests.

Participate in code and design reviews to maintain data quality and adherence to team standards. Assist in resolving data-related issues and support users in understanding data outputs and system operations.

1. Understand assigned user departments' duties, information systems, and underlying data, and successfully design and develop procedures, reports and extracts as requested in a timely manner according to department standards.
2. Research and resolve moderately complex problems on assigned applications across multiple hardware platforms, software packages and programming languages.
3. Provide system support services on-site and via telephone during working hours and on-call after normal working hours by responding to calls or requests timely.
4.Demonstrate effective communication with users at all levels, understand various job functions and business needs, and discuss processing problems and project status.
5. Provide informed, professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, accurate manner.
7. Develop and maintain technical skill set by staying informed about new languages, techniques and systems and make recommendations for improvements or enhancements.
Knowledge and Skills:

Four years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education
Equivalent to a college degree, in the field of Computer Science (BS or BA in a relevant field), or related professional work experience.
Interpersonal Skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments is important. Building positive working relationships with colleagues and internal partners is expected at this level.
