Job description

Data Center Logistics Specialist I
Role Purpose:
Perform logistics duties within a data center including inventory management, asset management, and data management. Role is responsible for receiving and shipment of goods as well as installation or decommissioning of assets utilizing both the warehouse management system and MHE.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Handles incoming/outgoing hardware (servers, parts, cables). Manage inventory, asset tagging, and tracking systems. Stages equipment for installation
  • Installs servers (rack and stack), connects power and network cables, and troubleshoots basic hardware issues
  • Prepares hardware before deployment, including labeling, configuration, and quality checks
  • Performs routine DC hardware installation, including equipment identification, basic rack and stack support, cable placement, labeling, documentation, and housekeeping, under close supervision and according to approved deployment procedures
  • Respond to alerts and incidents quickly to minimize downtime
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades on servers including routine work, troubleshooting, and outage resolution
  • Ensure environmental conditions are maintained to prevent overheating, outages, or infrastructure damage
  • Maintain data center security protocols including controlling access to systems and facilities
  • Ensure and protect compliance and sensitive data according to company policy and protocols

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Previous experience in a data center desirable
  • Ability to utilize computer
