Data Center Deployment Technician

*This is a fully onsite position in Hermiston, OR.*

What You'll Do

As a Data Center Deployment Technician, you'll play a key role in the successful installation and deployment of network and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Install, route, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems according to ANSI/TIA industry standards.
  • Perform rack integration, equipment installation, device mounting, and cable management activities.
  • Support data center deployments, telecommunications room buildouts, and MDF/IDF installations.
  • Stage hardware, label assets, prepare sites, and execute deployment activities to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and certifications to validate installation quality and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot technical and installation issues while maintaining project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and deployment records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, site leadership, and cross-functional teams throughout project execution.
  • Identify risks, remove barriers, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and deployment best practices.

    • Low-voltage installation
    • Security systems installation
    • Hardware deployment and implementation
    • Construction technology environments
  • Experience with rack-and-stack deployments and cable management.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented environments.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.

Preferred Experience

  • Data center operations and infrastructure deployment.
  • Copper and fiber optic cabling installation and testing.
  • Linux familiarity.
  • Telecommunications and network infrastructure environments.
  • Project coordination and deployment documentation.

Work Environment

This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role supporting large-scale deployment projects with aggressive timelines and high standards for quality.

Candidates should be comfortable:

  • Working in active construction and data center environments.
  • Spending significant time on their feet and walking throughout large facilities.
  • Carrying tools and equipment as needed.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Troubleshooting and escalating issues in time-sensitive situations.

The successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, walk long distances within facility environments, and perform physical installation activities as part of daily responsibilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
