As of Jul 23, 2026, the average yearly pay for data insights manager in the United States is $97,145.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $66,000.00 and $125,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Is 40 too late for data science?

The Data Insights Manager role often values experience and skills over age, and many professionals transition into data science or related roles later in their careers. Success depends on acquiring relevant technical skills such as programming, statistics, and tools like SQL or Python, regardless of age. Age should not be a barrier if you develop the necessary expertise and stay current with industry trends.

What does a data insight manager do?

A data insight manager analyzes large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-making. They often use tools like SQL, data visualization software, and statistical methods, and typically oversee data teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Will AI replace a data analyst?

AI tools can automate routine data processing and basic analysis tasks, but the role of a Data Insights Manager involves interpreting complex data, making strategic recommendations, and communicating findings, which require human judgment and domain expertise. AI is a complement to data analysts, enhancing productivity rather than fully replacing them, especially in roles that demand critical thinking and stakeholder interaction.

What is the highest paying job in data analytics?

The highest paying roles in data analytics typically include Data Science Directors, Chief Data Officers, and senior Data Analytics Managers, especially those overseeing large teams or strategic initiatives. These positions often require advanced skills in machine learning, data architecture, and leadership, and they can command salaries exceeding $150,000 annually depending on experience and industry.
