Data Engineer (Healthcare Data Pipelines)

Contract | US Citizen | Remote

Description

We're seeking a Data Engineer (Healthcare Data Pipelines) to support our client on a CMS program, focused on building and maintaining data pipelines and production analytics systems.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys structured workflows, automation, and data quality at scale.

Responsibilities

Will be responsible for developing code based on requirements, developing visualizations and interating based on client feedback.

  • Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines (Python + SQL)
  • Support weekly/monthly production data workflows
  • Ensure data quality and reliability across systems
  • Work in an Agile environment (Jira/Confluence)

Requirements

  • Strong Python + SQL + ETL experience
  • GitHub
  • Experience with complex data (healthcare claims experience; Medicaid experience highly desired)

Desired

  • Enterprise-CMCS GitHub
  • Databricks (Specifically DataConnect Databricks)
  • BI tools (QuickSight or other BI tools for developing visualizations)
  • Jira and Confluence
  • An understanding of data ingestion and data processing, data linking, and software application lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Agile development and work management.
