Job description

Data Entry Specialist

Do you enjoy working with data and keeping information organized and accurate? Community Action is currently looking for a Data Entry Specialist to join the Communication and Development Department. The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for entering and managing data to support grant applications and reporting. This person will help keep information organized and accurate, assist with tracking program activities, and support donor and volunteer records. Their work will help ensure that reports are completed on time and that all data is properly maintained for program success. Starting Pay: $18.71/hour

The Role

Ensure accurate, timely program and fund development data entry into agency systems and cross-check data as relevant. Collaborate with fiscal and program teams to support compliant data maintenance and reporting aligned with funder requirements and agency goals. Generate timely, personalized donor acknowledgement communications and tax receipts, and utilize the donor database to support fund development. Update volunteer rates and track completion of community engagement activities, including outreach events and media appearances. Organize, summarize, and communicate data results for grant applications and reporting, and build and run queries for programs. Support program managers by pulling periodic data reports and generating reports and lists from donor and volunteer databases.

Qualifications

Previous data entry experience required. Previous database management experience preferred, particularly with Raiser's Edge, Clarity, and/or Volgistics. Training or experience with legal terminology, statutory language, landlord/tenant laws, government and community resources; housing counseling; housing budgeting. Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language required. Must enter position at intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must be able to protect the confidentiality and validity of agency client data. Must be able to comply with agency and program policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies. Must attend Results Oriented Management & Accountability (ROMA) training within one year of start date.
