Job description

Duties and Responsibilities: - Understand all of the operations of the production line - Demonstrate a working knowledge of all essential Quality and Food Safety Programs and assist in Regulatory audits - Member of the plant Internal Audit Team - Understand, monitor, and report violations of GMP, Food Safety Compliance, plant security, and safety policies - Work with production to ensure all products meet specifications - Monitor finished product specifications as required - Enact HOLD procedures and manage associated documentation - Perform routine checks of metal detectors - Responsible for daily lot tracking documentation to ensure accuracy. Data entry for accurate traceability. - Collect and evaluate product for sensory, incoming raw material samples, and retains per customer requirements - Initiate foreign material reports and investigate cause - Maintain data entry spreadsheets for all finished products and investigate/resolve issues - Perform 100% inspection of key accounts - Recommend and work on process improvements - Improve and/or report unsafe, unsanitary, or inappropriate conditions - Take problem solving initiative - Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety policies and procedures - Assist other departments as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Be able to lift / push 50; more than 50lbs will require two people. Able to work on feet for the entire shift. Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, and climbing Perform tasks on computer.
