Job description

Rumsey Environmental, a Waste Connections Company, is hiring a motivated, detail-oriented Inside Sales Rep for our site in Tuscaloosa, AL.
The Inside Sales Rep plays a critical role in driving sales success by supporting broker relationships, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
The position serves as a key liaison between internal sales teams and external partners, helping to streamline processes, maintain accurate data, and deliver timely and high-quality service.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone and email inquiries from brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support sales activity by working with the team to submit competitive bids for business, including gathering requirements and tracking outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for broker-managed accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring consistent communication.
  • Maintain and actively manage the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are tracked, updated, and progressed efficiently.
  • Perform accurate data entry, lead tracking, and reporting within CRM systems to support sales activity.

Job Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in a sales, customer support, or sales operations role
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid math and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
