Job description


The ultimate goal of the Pharmacy Technician in data entry is to enhance the guest experience by facilitating refill and prescription requests for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will take responsibility for the following including, but not limited to: answering incoming and prescription calls, processing orders, providing an exceptional experience for guests. The Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and will cross train to back-up other pharmacy positions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set goals for accomplishing responsibilities within appropriate timeframes
  • Engage in weekly staff meetings
  • Complete assigned reading & submit book reports by the last day of the month
  • Continually seek ways to improve processes
  • Answer incoming and transferred prescription calls
  • Obtain refill/prescription requests from guests
  • Process prescription orders in PK Compounder
  • Request doctor authorization for prescriptions as needed
  • Check Hotze Pharmacy e-mail
  • Assist in the routine operation of the Script Pro robotic dispensing system
  • Utilize Mail Order Manager for guest checkout and tracking purposes

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Confidentiality of all guest information
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Well organized with great attention to detail
  • Maintains a positive attitude with guests and team members
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - registered in the state of Texas
