Job description

Customer Service Rep/Data Entry Clerk

R-Dent Dental Laboratory is looking for a full-time Customer Service Rep/Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Bartlett, TN!

Summary of Position: This position will communicate with customers (via phone, email, and text), enter prescriptions for dental prostheses (eg: crowns/bridges, dentures, implants) into our dental lab software, and provide administrative support for orders entering and exiting the lab.

Compensation: $15-17 per hour (depending on skill and experience)

Shift: Full-time Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm (or later if necessary) (shift may be variable depending on business and customer needs)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with customers via phone, text, and email about our products; solve customer problems; record notes in our software; ensure customer retention/satisfaction by adhering to professional call handling techniques, and cross-sell products.
  2. Enter prescription information into our dental lab software so our production team can make those dental products (e.g. crowns, bridges, dentures) accurately and timely for customers.
  3. Perform other administrative support duties for orders such as photographing, invoicing, boxing, cleaning, and sorting cases as needed.

General Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience and excellent phone voice is required. At least one year of telephone customer service experience and cross-selling products is preferred. Dental-related knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret information (eg prescriptions) and quickly enter accurate information into computer database using our dental lab software.
  • Must be able to quickly respond to customer inquiries via call, text and email in a professional manner to completely satisfy customers.
  • Must be able to meet departmental goals for speed and quality of data entry and handling of phone calls (15-20 cases per hour data entry with under 6% mistakes).
  • Must be able to multi-task and accurately follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work as a team to tackle workload as soon as possible in a lean-manufacturing type of mindset.

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) as well as reach and bend.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing office work environment.

  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
