Job description

Company Overview

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Data Entry department will accurately input data into a billing system for accounts receivable purposes and assist customers in our walk-in counter.

Hours and Wages

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
  • $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and open walk-in counter daily
  • Greet and assist customers with parcels for shipment
  • Utilize hand-held pad to enter packages for pick up or inbound scans
  • Accurately enter package information into billing system using the 10-key portion of a keyboard as well as a desk top scanner
  • Interact with customers via telephone and email regarding questions concerning their daily shipping paperwork
  • Balance and count cash drawer daily
  • Sort billing sheets into numerical order
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Clerical or administrative experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
