Independent insurance agency in Southeast Michigan is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Finance Administrator to manage bookkeeping, accounting, and general administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

· Full-charge bookkeeping

· Accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Bank, credit card, general ledger, and commission reconciliations

· Journal entries, accruals, and month-end/year-end preparation

· Insurance carrier and agency commission statement reconciliation

· General auditing and financial record maintenance

· Database management, reporting, and data entry

· Assisting with payroll, employee records, and basic HR duties

Qualifications:

· Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual accounting

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems

· Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
