Job description

Position: Data Entry Support Specialist

Location: Remote

 

Position Summary

The Data Entry Support Specialist provides administrative and data entry support to the Client’s National Customer Service Improvement Project (CSIP) by ensuring timely, accurate, and complete entry and maintenance of data used to support grants management, monitoring, workflow tracking, and program oversight for the Client.

This role supports the effectiveness and reliability of data systems and tracking tools by performing data entry, updates, and basic quality checks in accordance with established procedures and federal standards. The Data Entry Support Specialist works under the direction of the Data Management Specialist and Data Engineer/Data Project Lead.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry and updates in databases, spreadsheets, and web-based systems used to support grants management and program oversight.
  • Enter, update, and maintain records related to grant applications, monitoring activities, correspondence tracking, staffing, and workflow management.
  • Ensure data are entered in accordance with established procedures, templates, and validation requirements.
  • Conduct basic data quality checks to identify incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
  • Assist with maintenance of workflow and task tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet-based solutions).
  • Work collaboratively with data management, program support, and technical staff to ensure data needs are met.
  • Support ad hoc assignments and operational tasks within contract scope.


Required Qualification

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information management, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience performing data entry, record maintenance, or administrative support functions.
  • 2+ years of experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or web-based data systems.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting federal programs or grants management environments; early childhood or Head Start/Early Head Start is preferred.   
  • US government-issued security clearance required (will be initiated upon hire)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check.
