Job description

Travel PSUs will report to their home plant and department unless deployed to other locations for temporary assignments.An additional hourly premium pay will be applied for these Travel PSU positions regardless of traveling or at home plant as these team members will be the first to travel from their plant. Travel PSU's will be trained at multiple plants in a general PSU position. This premium is in addition to the travel reimbursement pay.

4th Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am

What You Do.

  • Follows all GMP’s as required by the plant.
  • Follows all safety regulations and requirements, including proper PPE.
  • Immediately reports accidents, injuries, and any equipment that is in need of repair.
  • Reads and understands production orders to verify all product information is correct.
  • Verifies that adequate raw materials and supplies are available to meet line production needs, notifies appropriate personnel about anything that is short or cannot be located.
  • Accurately completes required paperwork and data entry for quality and production checks.
  • Visually checks raw product for foreign objects.
  • Visually inspects equipment, tables, floors, etc., to ensure GMP standards are met.
  • Accurately measures or weighs raw materials to ensure proper blends according to production order.
  • Prepares bulk cheese according to production order such as: unboxing, decasing, removing plastic wrap, etc.
  • Safely operates, assembles, and disassembles all equipment such as: harps, grinders, cutters, blenders, Urschels, etc. involved in reducing bulk materials according to production order specifications.
  • Monitors and replaces harp/die wires as needed.
  • Properly places trim, further processing, and inedible product in the appropriate containers.
  • Properly moves/lifts pallets; uses 2-person lift technique when appropriate.
  • Accurately scans warehouse managed items and promptly reports known scanning errors.
  • Reads and understands production orders to verify all product information is correct.
  • Maintains, loads, and monitors packing equipment to include minor adjustments and coordinates set up and placement of equipment such as: auto case packer, tape machines, printers, conveyors, etc
  • Verifies correct label information.
  • Loads and stacks completed packages or containers to pallets according to proper loading or stacking patterns as required.
  • Ensures that product samples are taken and labeled according to specifications.
  • Accurately completes required paperwork and data entry for quality and production clerks.
  • Inspects and packs product to ensure product and package quality meets customer expectations.
  • Properly handles and operates RF gun scanners and replaces batteries when needed.
  • Safely operates industrial power equipment.
  • Performs Sanitation responsibilities as needed on your shift which requires the use of cleaning chemicals and specialized cleaning equipment to remove debris from machines, equipment, conveyors, floors, walls, tables, etc.        
  • Assists others in Prep area, Pack area, and Sanitation activities.
  • Assures that quality and quantity of work produced is acceptable to company standards.
  • Trains individuals as assigned.

What is a Travel Production Sanitation Utility?

  • Your home plant will be Kiel, WI, however you will be regularly traveling to each of our other locations to temporarily help fill labor needs: 
    • St Cloud, WI
    • Plymouth, WI 
    • Hilbert, WI
  • Each day you could be working at a different location
  • You are paid a premium for being a dedicated traveler
  • Comprehensive training is provided at each plant

Your Education and Experience.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required or minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or less
Prior manufacturing experience is a plus

Your Qualifications.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.
  • Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.
  • Lifting 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
