Job Description:

The Tech I will be responsible for assigned duties that promote the safety and well-being of all patients, visitors, and staff by maintaining the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment. In addition, this individual will document repairs, and perform safety checks and preventive measures. This position will be eligible for the on-call rotation after six months of employment.Education: Required: Associate's Degree in a related field OR completion of Military Biomedical training program OR 1 years Biomedical equipment maintenance experience with a minimum of two manufacturer-level service seminars completed. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical TechnologyExperience: Preferred: Experience in a clinical or technical field Preferred: Experience working with clinical equipmentSkills: Use of common hand tools. Use of PC and basic data entry skills. Ability to utilize manufacturer's service and operators manuals and other documentation Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair basic electronic and electromechanical equipment. Self-directed, strong attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong ability to reason logically and critically. Ability to maintain confidentiality with the highest degree of integrity and discretion. Strong organizational skills including effective time management and ability to set/reset priorities accordingly and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing to hospital staff, vendors, patients and patient's families.
