Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

As a Production Associate, you will play a vital role in the production process by accurately pulling and measuring ingredients for mixing. You will be responsible for feeding the production mixer operators with precise batches for various products, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and measure ingredients as specified on batch sheets, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Use digital and analog scales, measuring cups, and other tools for precise measurements.
  • Transport ingredients using a push cart to various locations and mixing stations.
  • Seal and return bulk containers of ingredients to their correct shelving positions.
  • Perform supplemental tasks such as restocking shelves, cleaning tools, and assisting with the mixing process.
  • Follow company rules and policies, including attendance, OSHA safety, and food safety guidelines.
  • Meet daily production objectives and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is correctly followed for all raw materials.
  • Complete production records and documents accurately.
  • Avoid contamination by adhering to all food safety procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, managers, and other departments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, contributing to a positive work culture.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to weigh and measure products accurately.

  • Understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety guidelines.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand new, modern, and clean facility with exposure to various smells such as Brewer’s Yeast, Chicken, Beef, and Pork. The 1st shift runs the heaviest production with three mixers operating. The dress code includes pants, a t-shirt, closed-toe non-slip shoes, and adherence to GMP standards (hair nets, beard nets, no jewelry). A production worker will be available for initial training, and non-slip shoes are required to be kept at the workplace to avoid wearing outside shoes in the production/warehouse area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Earl, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
