Position Description: Delta College of Arts & Technology is seeking a highly motivated and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Administrative Assistant to support our Baton Rouge campus. The ideal candidate must have a pleasant personality and must be comfortable with a (sometimes) busy office environment. This is a terrific entry-level opportunity.The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, including: Answering calls and greeting visitors as needed; routing calls to appropriate staff and/or taking and delivering messages.Processing incoming and outgoing mail in a timely manner.Performing data entry and filing tasks.Ensuring proper sign-in & maintaining appropriate security procedures.Handling special administrative projects such as conference preparation and other overflow work as assigned.Performing other duties as assigned.Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent required.One to two years of experience in an administrative role.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
