Job description


We are hiring a Data Entry Clerk for a temporary project from Jun 15-30
Schedule is 8am to 4:30pm with 2 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch.
Assembles, verifies, and keys information from a variety of source documents into software applications and performs related assignments such as document auditing and research. Works with efficiency and accuracy to verify data being submitted and to furnish information when requested. This class lies above that of Office Assistant, Clerk or Administrative Clerk.
Essential Functions (not intended to be all inclusive)
  1. Assembles and organizes data for input into system.
  2. Enters data into a computer application with accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Files material by alphabetical or numerical sequence.
  4. Reads computer printed error lists and finds data entry documents for corrections.
  5. Answers inquiries regarding data which is being or has been recorded.
  6. Assists in the training of new clerks.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    1. Knowledge of and skill in computer data entry
    2. Word processing, spreadsheet, and database software skills a plus
    3. Strong time management and organizational skills
    4. Ability to learn new procedures and to work independently with little supervision.
    5. Ability to recognize and honor confidential information.
    6. Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with various individuals.
    7. Ability to read, understand and apply job-related materials, information, policies, and procedures.
