Are you the type of person who looks at a process and immediately starts thinking of ways to make it better?

At Beehive Meals, we're looking for a Process Engineer Intern who wants real-world engineering experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This isn't a "sit in meetings and take notes" internship. You'll work directly with production teams, test ideas, analyze workflows, build solutions, and help improve how thousands of meals are produced every week.

Pay: $20 - $24

Schedule: Part-Time - Days - This is a Summer Internship thru August 31st, 2026

What You'll DoImprove Real Production Processes
  • Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collect and evaluate operational data to support process improvements.
  • Identify bottlenecks, waste, delays, and non-value-added activities.
  • Assist with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Help create and document standard operating procedures.
Design & Test Solutions
  • Design, prototype, test, and refine equipment and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to gather feedback and improve solutions.
  • Support implementation of new equipment and workflow improvements.
  • Participate in troubleshooting production challenges and identifying corrective actions.
Turn Data Into Decisions
  • Conduct ingredient yield studies and production analyses.
  • Measure performance metrics and validate results.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations that support operational decision-making.
  • Help ensure projects stay organized and on track.
Work Across Teams
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams.
  • Participate in improvement discussions and project planning.
  • Learn how engineering supports every part of a growing manufacturing operation.
What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a degree in:
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
