Why Interns Love Kimball Midwest
Kimball Midwest is a family-owned distributor with a strong Midwest culture and a long history of investing in people. Our IT team partners directly with the business to solve real problems across operations, supply chain, sales, and corporate functions.
Our internship program is a real, hands-on experience-not just a rรฉsumรฉ booster. Interns work onsite with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and see how technology decisions impact the business.
Many of our interns return to Kimball Midwest as full-time associates after graduation. We invest in your learning, mentorship, and growth-during the summer and beyond.
Why this role
If you like working with data, solving problems, and understanding how systems connect, this internship gives you hands-on exposure to real data engineering work-not busywork. • Collaborate with IT and business partners to understand how data supports decisions
What you'll learn
  • How enterprise data platforms are designed and maintained
  • How Agile teams operate in a real IT environment
  • How to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
What we're looking for

  • Coursework or experience with SQL; exposure to Azure or similar tools is a plus
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn

Additional Information
Internship starts on May 18, 2026 and will last for 12 weeks.
