Job description

Job Title: Entry-Level Civil EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This primarily desk-focused design role involves supporting a variety of civil engineering projects through CAD drafting, plan production, and engineering design coordination. The position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to develop practical design skills, work on diverse infrastructure projects, and grow within a supportive and experienced engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare civil engineering design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Assist with site development, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway design projects.
  • Support project teams with drafting, calculations, data organization, and plan revisions.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and clients to deliver high-quality project documents.
  • Review project requirements, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in quality control reviews and project documentation processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of civil engineering experience through employment, internships, or co-ops.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment

The role is based in Kansas City, MO. The work environment is supportive and team-oriented, offering the chance to work on commercial and industrial site development, municipal infrastructure improvements, roadway and transportation projects, stormwater and drainage systems, water and wastewater utility projects, and land development and site design. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
