Data Enablement information

What is data enablement?

Data enablement is the process of making data accessible, usable, and valuable across an organization. It involves implementing tools, processes, and strategies that empower employees to access, analyze, and act on data efficiently. The goal of data enablement is to break down data silos, improve data literacy, and support better decision-making by ensuring the right people have the right data at the right time.

How does a data enablement professional typically collaborate with other departments to drive data-driven decision-making?

Data Enablement professionals work closely with departments such as marketing, finance, operations, and IT to ensure that accurate, accessible data informs strategic decisions. They often facilitate data literacy training, help teams define data requirements, and establish efficient data pipelines. Collaboration is key—regular meetings, workshops, and cross-functional projects are common to align data initiatives with business goals. This role also involves translating complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in data enablement, and why are they important?

To thrive in Data Enablement, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of data management principles, and experience with data governance, often supported by a degree in data science, information technology, or a related field. Familiarity with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), data integration platforms, and database systems are commonly required, along with certifications like CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional). Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills help you translate data insights into actionable business strategies and foster data literacy across teams. These competencies are crucial for ensuring high-quality, accessible data that drives informed decision-making and organizational growth.

What is the difference between Data Enablement vs Data Analyst?

Data Enablement focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that allow organizations to access and utilize data effectively. In contrast, Data Analysts interpret and analyze data to provide actionable insights. While both roles work with data, Data Enablement is more technical and infrastructure-oriented, whereas Data Analysts are more focused on analysis and reporting.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Enablement Specialist based in Netherlands.

This is a senior sales enablement opportunity within a fast-paced, global B2B SaaS environment.
You will help equip sales teams with the knowledge, skills, content, and tools needed to improve productivity and deliver consistent commercial results.
The role combines strategic consulting with hands-on programme design, facilitation, coaching, and performance measurement.
You will partner closely with senior sales leaders, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and other stakeholders to translate go-to-market priorities into practical learning experiences.
Your work will influence onboarding, sales methodology, product knowledge, messaging, and selling capabilities across multiple regions and segments.
You will have significant ownership of enablement initiatives from needs analysis through delivery, reinforcement, and impact measurement.
This role is ideal for an experienced enablement professional who combines strong facilitation skills with commercial awareness, autonomy, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Accountabilities
  • Consult with sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and recommend scalable enablement strategies.
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve sales enablement programmes covering onboarding, sales methodology, product knowledge, messaging, and selling skills.
  • Own enablement initiatives end-to-end, from needs analysis and programme planning through content development, delivery, reinforcement, and measurement.
  • Create high-impact learning experiences and practical enablement assets, including workshops, playbooks, coaching resources, digital learning materials, and sales tools.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and business leaders to translate go-to-market strategy into practical, role-specific learning experiences.
  • Facilitate engaging learning sessions across virtual, in-person, and blended environments.
  • Work with senior sales leaders to ensure enablement programmes address real commercial challenges and support business priorities.
  • Measure programme effectiveness using learner feedback, behavioural observations, adoption indicators, and sales performance metrics.
  • Use enablement technologies and AI tools to personalize learning experiences, improve efficiency, and increase the scalability of programmes.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen reinforcement and long-term knowledge retention following training programmes.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize enablement processes, content, and learning experiences based on data and stakeholder feedback.
  • Support consistent enablement experiences across different regions, sales segments, and stages of the sales organization.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Enablement, Sales Training, Learning & Development, or a related commercial enablement function.
  • Experience within B2B SaaS, software, technology, or another complex commercial environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience designing, delivering, and continuously improving enablement programmes across onboarding, sales methodology, product knowledge, and selling skills.
  • Ability to independently manage enablement initiatives from needs analysis and planning through delivery, reinforcement, and impact measurement.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with confidence delivering engaging learning experiences virtually, in person, and through blended formats.
  • Solid understanding of consultative and value-based sales methodologies.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect learning initiatives with sales productivity and business outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with senior sales leaders to identify capability gaps, influence priorities, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using technology and AI-enabled tools to improve learning personalization, programme efficiency, and scalability.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to evaluate enablement effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative indicators.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively as a senior individual contributor.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where products, sales strategies, and organizational priorities evolve.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and Europe.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work: Work remotely within the supported EMEA environment.
  • Unlimited vacation: Flexible paid time off designed to support rest, recovery, and work-life balance.
  • Group critical illness coverage: Protection and support in the event of qualifying critical illnesses.
  • Group income protection: Financial support in qualifying circumstances where you are unable to work.
  • Group life assurance: Life insurance coverage as part of the employee benefits package.

  • Quarterly paid volunteer days: Paid time to contribute to causes and community initiatives.
  • Employee referral programme: Financial rewards for eligible successful referrals.
  • Career development: Opportunities to grow your career across different functions and levels of the organization.
