Data Enablement information

What is data enablement?

Data enablement is the process of making data accessible, usable, and valuable across an organization. It involves implementing tools, processes, and strategies that empower employees to access, analyze, and act on data efficiently. The goal of data enablement is to break down data silos, improve data literacy, and support better decision-making by ensuring the right people have the right data at the right time.

How does a data enablement professional typically collaborate with other departments to drive data-driven decision-making?

Data Enablement professionals work closely with departments such as marketing, finance, operations, and IT to ensure that accurate, accessible data informs strategic decisions. They often facilitate data literacy training, help teams define data requirements, and establish efficient data pipelines. Collaboration is key—regular meetings, workshops, and cross-functional projects are common to align data initiatives with business goals. This role also involves translating complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in data enablement, and why are they important?

To thrive in Data Enablement, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of data management principles, and experience with data governance, often supported by a degree in data science, information technology, or a related field. Familiarity with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), data integration platforms, and database systems are commonly required, along with certifications like CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional). Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills help you translate data insights into actionable business strategies and foster data literacy across teams. These competencies are crucial for ensuring high-quality, accessible data that drives informed decision-making and organizational growth.

What is the difference between Data Enablement vs Data Analyst?

AspectData EnablementData Analyst
Primary FocusProviding tools, platforms, and infrastructure to empower data usersAnalyzing data to generate insights and reports
Skills & CertificationsData management, platform administration, data governanceStatistical analysis, SQL, data visualization tools
Work EnvironmentIT teams, data platforms, cross-functional teamsBusiness units, analytics teams, reporting environments
Employer & Industry UsageTech companies, large enterprises, data-driven organizationsMarketing, finance, operations departments across industries

Data Enablement focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that allow organizations to access and utilize data effectively. In contrast, Data Analysts interpret and analyze data to provide actionable insights. While both roles work with data, Data Enablement is more technical and infrastructure-oriented, whereas Data Analysts are more focused on analysis and reporting.

Job description

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Enablement Programs Operations Specialist to join our Revenue Enablement team in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary or Remote-US.

What your team does

The Revenue Enablement team at Clio equips our sales and customer success organizations with the knowledge, skills, tools, and processes they need to drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional client experiences. We run a center of excellence operating model, manage the intake and operating rhythm that protects high-impact work, and partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to turn product launches into field-ready execution. We are a team that runs on structure, data, and a genuine commitment to helping people do their best work.

Who you are

You are an operations-minded program manager who brings order to competing priorities. You know how to build the systems that let a team prioritize and protect the work that matters, and you are energized by turning a reactive, request-driven function into a predictable operating model. You communicate clearly with stakeholders across functions, you are data-informed, and you take real ownership of the cadence that keeps programs moving. When everyone is pulling in a different direction, you are the person who builds the structure that holds.

What you'll work on
  • Run the enablement intake system, including logging requests, triaging weekly, and routing decisions within the 48-hour service standard
  • Own the operating rhythm and program calendar so launch-critical work gets the protected capacity it needs
  • Coordinate product launch programs end to end across Product Marketing, Product Enablement, Field Enablement, and Revenue Operations, keeping every launch on its timeline from pre-launch prep through launch week
  • Maintain the program management infrastructure, including DRIs, milestones, dependencies, and status reporting across concurrent launches
  • Build and maintain OKR tracking and reporting so the team measures outcomes such as ramp time, attach rate, and win rate, not just activity
  • Support monetization, offers, and partnership programs with the same coordination discipline
  • Establish and document standard operating procedures for how enablement programs are scoped, built, and shipped
  • Produce the cross-segment program health view that leadership uses to see what enablement is working on and why
  • Use generative AI to accelerate project planning, status synthesis, and reporting
  • Partner with the Enablement Systems Specialist so intake, tooling, and reporting stay connected
  • Other duties as required
What you may have
  • 4+ years of experience in program or project management, revenue or enablement operations, or a PMO function
  • Proven ability to run intake and prioritization across many stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional product launches or go-to-market programs
  • Experience building OKR tracking and reporting infrastructure
  • Strong systems thinking and standard operating procedure development
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and move multiple workstreams forward simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Serious bonus points if you have
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company
  • Experience standing up an intake or operating system for a team
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for project management and reporting
  • Familiarity with Seismic, Gong, Salesforce, or similar enablement and CRM platforms
  • Experience in launch operations or go-to-market operations

What you will find here:

Compensation is one of the main components of Clio's Total Rewards Program. We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high-performing culture.

  • EAP benefits for you and household members, including counseling and online resources

  • 401k matching and Child Education Savings

  • Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years

The expected salary range for this role is $112,800 to $152,600 USD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
