Job description

Description:

THE POSITION

Configuration Analyst assists with developing and coordinating the approval of shipboard modernization documentation such as Ship Change Documents (SCDs), NDE alteration records, C5IMP Baseline Modification Requests (NDE-AMPS Risk Forms), Electronic Target Configuration Date (TCD) Waivers Risk Assessment Messages, and Late Add Requests.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Developing ILS products such as Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), ILS Certifications, ILS Checklists, and Configuration Data Management Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) / Model Based Product Support (MBPS) work files.

· Assisting with the development of Technical Manuals, Field Change Bulletins, Installation Control Drawings, and Users Logistics Support Summaries (ULSS)

· Developing and maintaining system DD-61 nomenclature requests within Joint Electronic Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS)

· Assigning Reference Designations and Source Maintenance and Recovery (SM&R) Coding and developing Provisioning Parts Lists (PPLs) & Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) for submission into Integrated Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS)

· Developing and maintaining system configuration documentation. Performing configuration management of system level drawings and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/S (Engineering, Technical, Business, or Computer Science/IT), with three (3) years of experience performing work related to Configuration Management or Integrated Logistics Support OR an associate's degree plus 4 years of related experience OR a High School diploma and 6 or more years of related experience.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 20 lbs.
  • Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
  • Ability to verbally communicate to change information
  • Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers – typing and/or writing
  • Working frequently at close visual range (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading)
