Job description

Director, Corporate Communications
Hybrid / Full Time / Wayne, PA
At Novocure, we're working to extend the lives of patients battling some of the most aggressive cancers. Every role here contributes to that mission - and as Director, Corporate Communications, you'll play a critical role in shaping how Novocure communicates the value, science, and impact of our therapies to patients, healthcare professionals, media, and other key stakeholders. This is a highly visible position that sits at the intersection of communications, marketing, medical affairs, and business strategy..
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced communications leader to drive U.S. Product Communications across Novocure's oncology portfolio, including Optune Gio®, Optune Lua®, and future growth opportunities. This role will serve as the communications partner to US commercial and medical teams, developing and executing strategic programs that support product awareness, scientific data communications, media engagement, advocacy initiatives, and key business milestones.
This is not a traditional corporate communications role. We are looking for someone with deep product communications experience in a regulated healthcare environment who can quickly become a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams and operate independently in a fast-paced, high-impact setting. The ideal candidate has experience supporting marketed or late-stage products, translating complex scientific information into compelling narratives, and driving communications strategies that align with broader business objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and execute comprehensive U.S. product communications strategies supporting Novocure's oncology portfolio
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications teams to align messaging and communications priorities
  • Support communication of clinical data, regulatory milestones, scientific congresses, and other key product-related events
  • Develop high-quality communications materials, including annual communication plans, press releases, messaging frameworks, Q&A documents, executive talking points, and media materials
  • Build relationships with media and external stakeholders while identifying opportunities for proactive earned media engagement
  • Collaborate with U.S. product teams to understand brand strategies and recommend communications programs that support business objectives
  • Support patient advocacy and stakeholder engagement initiatives related to product communications
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all communication channels and audiences
  • Manage external agency partners and vendors to deliver high-quality communications programs
  • Contribute to internal communications initiatives and help strengthen collaboration across the organization
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor capable of independently managing communications needs and opportunities as they arise

ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic communicator who understands how to translate complex science into meaningful stories. You thrive in environments where priorities move quickly, collaboration is essential, and communications can directly influence business outcomes.
You bring deep product communications expertise, strong business acumen, and the confidence to engage with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. You are comfortable operating independently, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, and finding creative ways to elevate product visibility in a highly regulated industry..
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, product communications, or related communications functions
  • Experience supporting communications for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated healthcare products
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic communications programs for marketed or late-stage healthcare products
  • Experience communicating scientific data and complex healthcare information to diverse audiences
  • Strong media relations experience and ability to develop proactive earned media opportunities
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting product launches, regulatory milestones, or pre-commercial assets
  • Agency and in-house communications experience
  • Experience developing data communications, scientific communications, and congress-related communications strategies
  • Experience supporting oncology, biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical technology products
  • Familiarity with communications regulations governing healthcare and life sciences organizations
  • Experience partnering with commercial and medical affairs organizations to support product strategy execution

HOW YOU'LL WORK
  • Hybrid work model with regular collaboration in our Wayne, PA office (typically 2-3 days per week)
  • Partner directly with U.S. commercial and medical teams to support business-critical communications initiatives
  • Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization
  • Operate in a high-visibility role with significant influence on how Novocure's products and scientific advancements are communicated externally
  • Opportunity to help shape and expand a growing communications function within a mission-driven organization
  • Travel up to 20% as business needs require

WHAT WE OFFER
This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $175,000 - $214,000/yr. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits.
