Position: Data Center Technician (09576)
Duration: 6 months+ contract
Location: Onsite Vernon Hills
Rate $25-$35/hr

Summary:
The Data Center Technician is responsible for ensuring successful installation and maintenance of client's IT Infrastructure as well as on-going administration of all Data Center, MDF and IDF equipment and support systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain IT Infrastructure such as switches, servers and related products.
  • Install, support and maintain UPS and Rack Power Systems.
  • Install and maintain campus wiring.
  • Coordinate with vendors as required to maintain systems.
  • Ensure proper patch levels on supported hardware and software.
  • Assist in maintaining technical architecture documentation for client's server infrastructure.
  • Support standards, security policies, practices, and guidelines for client infrastructure.
  • Install new equipment as required
  • Maintaining client server rooms
  • Maintaining accuracy of the objects in monitoring and asset management tools
Required Skills:
  • 3 years IT Data Center experience
  • Capable of independently running and terminating copper and fiber within Data Centers
  • Experience with Asset and Infrastructure Change Management processes
    • Ability to conduct asset tagging, labeling and tracking.
    • Experience Surveying data centers and inventorying equipment
  • Experience participating in Audit and Compliance activates and reporting for Data Centers
