Job description

Title: Datacentre Technical Project Manager
Location: Rochester, NY --- Onsite Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the endtoend migration of specialized research equipment and infrastructure between two data centers. This role requires strong knowledge of physical data center operations including power, HVAC/cooling, cabling, and rack space as well as handson experience managing both physical and virtual infrastructure cutovers.

You will also support additional researchfocused projects involving data center systems and AWS environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of data center migration activities
  • Coordinate physical logistics: rack layout, power, cooling, cabling, equipment handling
  • Manage virtual and physical infrastructure cutovers with minimal downtime
  • Oversee multiple data center and AWSrelated research projects
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, research, and application teams
  • Develop runbooks, schedules, risk plans, and status reporting

Qualifications

  • 7+ years as a Technical or Infrastructure Project Manager
  • Strong understanding of data center operations (power, HVAC, cooling, racks)
  • Experience with physical/virtual cutovers and data center relocations
  • Familiarity with AWS or hybrid cloud environments
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
