Job description

The Project Manager will coordinate with functional areas for planning, organizing, and scheduling to accomplish customer objectives. The Project Manager will serve as a liaison for the customer to company interface during all phases of the project. This role has responsibility for overall project status, up to and including identifying and facilitating resolution to potential issues to ensure contract and schedule commitments are being met at all phases of the project.

  • New product introduction. Monitor processes required to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant deliveries of a project from proposal to completion (product ship). This also includes facilitating issue resolution between functional areas.
  • Instrumental in the development of proposals and contracts and the negotiation process.
  • Provide routine direction and priorities across multiple projects.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating product introduction schedules and plans.
  • Partner with functional areas to understand new initiatives and projects and evaluate their impact on pending projects and workflows. Facilitate the evaluation and analysis of the magnitude of the risks for additional commitments taken during the development phase.
  • Chair various meetings/information sessions to collect and/or present data. Interface often with customers and across functional areas concerning project efforts.
  • Ensure that the customer requirements have been identified and are adequately communicated, including, but not limited to, "soft requirements" such as documentation, process limitations, and quality requirements.
  • Champion customer RMAs and complaints to ensure closure.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ECN process and product rework.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly sales projections for appropriate division.
  • Monitor and maintain DHR files.
  • Occasionally act as internal and external liaison for work in process and customer reorder questions and issues.
  • Travels as required to support customer and to maintain industry knowledge.
  • Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
