Job description

VERSYS (Verified Systems) is growing our team of experienced Mission Critical Project Managers for upcoming U.S. data center projects. If you’ve led power, controls, or cooling scopes in environments where uptime, documentation, coordination, and precision are non-negotiable, we want to hear from you.

This role is responsible for
project execution, cost, risk, and client outcomes from early planning through turnover and closeout.

 What you’ll own

You’ll lead Data Center and Advanced Technology projects, working closely with field leads, clients, vendors, and internal support teams. Key responsibilities include:

Project leadership & execution

  • Lead overall project execution: scope, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder coordination
  • Maintain a complete, detailed understanding of project scope and contract requirements
  • Drive jobsite readiness, daily priorities, and constraint removal with field leadership
  • Ensure a strong turnover process: documentation, punch/deficiency closure, and client handover support

Team leadership

  • Lead and support project team members (project engineers, coordinators, and site leadership)
  • Mentor, coach, and develop project engineers for fast-paced growth
  • Set expectations, build morale, and create a high-accountability / high-support culture

Project controls & financial performance

  • Own project controls: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, billings, collections, change management, and cash flow
  • Deliver accurate monthly status reporting (schedule, cost, risks, and key milestones)
  • Hold accountability for project completion, financial outcomes, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction

Planning & scheduling

  • Lead planning and scheduling activities; coordinate sequencing across trades and vendors
  • Manage schedule updates, look-aheads, and milestone tracking to keep teams aligned and moving

What makes this role different at VERSYS

Your time will be split between office coordination and site engagement; running daily priorities with field teams and subcontractors, walking the work, and staying closely aligned with clients, commissioning partners, and vendors to keep execution tight and communication clear. You’ll own the rhythm of the project (schedule, cost, procurement, RFIs/submittals, QA/QC, and turnover documentation), and you’ll have the resources and authority to improve processes and implement proven systems that help teams perform at a higher level.

The story of VERSYS

VERSYS was founded by commissioning field technicians who wanted to build a company that’s different from the industry norm—one that invests in people and creates opportunities. Our purpose is simple: “Providing Opportunities for Others to Succeed.”

We live our values every day:

  • Elevate Each Other
  • Lead The Way
  • Invest In Relationships
  • Tackle Tough Problems
  • Earn Our Reputation

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a people-first, adaptable leader who can drive results in a fast-moving environment.

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience (mission critical / data center experience is a strong asset)
  • Experience leading complex MEP / electrical / controls / commissioning-heavy scopes on fast-track projects (typically 5–10+ years total experience is ideal)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset — equivalent experience and/or a strong trade/technical background (electrical, mechanical, I&C/BAS) will be considered
  • PM credentials such as PMP are a strong asset
  • Proven ability to manage schedule, budget, subcontractors, procurement, RFIs/submittals, change management, and client communication in high-pressure environments
  • Strong understanding of building processes, systems, and project delivery fundamentals, including QA/QC, safety, and turnover/closeout documentation
  • Demonstrated capability in cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and project financial controls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project tools (PM software, cost management/accounting software, scheduling software)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills; able to resolve complex issues calmly and effectively
  • Proven ability to build team morale and lead through accountability and support
  • Strong work ethic and a practical, “get it done” mindset

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly wages + daily per diems
  • Health insurance contribution
  • 401(k) matching
  • Strong field support, training, and growth to lead roles
  • A team that values precision, safety, and your success
