Role Summary
This position involves managing enterprise networking infrastructure with a focus on routing and switching within data center environments. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams to support migration, decommissioning, and validation of network systems. Candidates will be responsible for executing complex network changes and ensuring system integrity during infrastructure transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute enterprise data center decommissioning activities, including project coordination and execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive network assessments to identify infrastructure targeted for retirement or consolidation.
  • Implement routing and switching modifications to facilitate workload and service migrations.
  • Support the migration and decommissioning of load balancers such as Citrix NetScaler and F5, ensuring minimal service disruption.
  • Manage DNS updates and migration activities utilizing Infoblox DNS management tools.
  • Navigate Cisco ACI fabrics to identify tenants, policies, and network objects involved in decommission efforts.
  • Validate network connectivity and performance following infrastructure changes and document all modifications.
  • Adhere to established change management processes and collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Support onsite activities as required, occasionally working in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and effectively communicate complex network changes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with enterprise routing and switching across data center environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and Cisco Catalyst platforms.
  • Familiarity with load balancer migration, including Citrix NetScaler and F5.
  • Working knowledge of Infoblox DNS management tools.
  • Understanding of firewall rules and security policies, including the impact of network changes.
  • Ability to support network migration, decommissioning, and infrastructure validation projects.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional settings.
  • Availability to support occasional onsite activities in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or Data Center preferred; CCIE certifications are a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.

Publishing Pay Range: $68.97 - $74.32 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between onsite work in Pittsburgh, PA, and remote work.
