Job Title: Data Center & Security Network Engineer

Location: Frisco, TX (Dallas) – Onsite
Duration: 5 Months
 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center & Security Network Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure, data center operations, and network security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, network design, troubleshooting, and data center technologies within complex enterprise environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, SSH, VPNs, and IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, and Multicast.
  • Experience with enterprise networking technologies including Ethernet, EVPN, STP, RSTP, IGMP, 802.1x, and modern service provider networks.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting QoS, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, Policy-Based Routing, NetFlow, and network performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 networking, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP, NTP, network security, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting network changes using Infoblox and BIND platforms.
  • Expertise with HPE Aruba networking solutions including Aruba Mobility Controllers, Instant APs, AirWave, Central, Activate, and ClearPass.
  • Experience working with SDN and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Aruba, Arista, Juniper, HPE, 3Com, H3C switches, and Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point firewalls.
  • Experience in network security, including device hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewall management, IPSec, vulnerability assessments, and intrusion detection.
  • Strong experience supporting Juniper and Arista hardware switches.
  • Experience working within data center environments and implementing Leaf-Spine architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper QFX5120 and QFX5130 switch platforms.
  • Knowledge of EVPN-VXLAN architecture and deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, implementation, documentation, and operational support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cybersecurity technologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Storage technologies including SAN and NAS environments.
  • Familiarity with database platforms such as SQL Server and MongoDB.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise and data center networks.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure.
  • Support data center networking environments, including Leaf-Spine and EVPN-VXLAN architectures.
  • Configure and maintain routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and security platforms.
  • Monitor network performance and resolve complex network issues.
  • Perform network upgrades, changes, and deployments while ensuring high availability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to optimize network performance and security.
  • Maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
