What is the 3 backup rule?

The 3-2-1 backup rule is a best practice for data backup, often followed by data backup professionals. It recommends having three copies of data, stored on two different media types, with at least one copy kept offsite to protect against physical damage or theft. This approach helps ensure data recovery in case of hardware failure, cyberattacks, or disasters.
