Job description

Job Title: Data Associate Engineer
Location: Columbia, Maryland
Type: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $43.53 (hourly rate) W-2 only
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote


Responsibilities


  • Understand data needs and advise the company on technological resources to support data initiatives.


  • Partner with senior team members to aggregate, analyze, and interpret various data sets, providing actionable insights.


  • Develop reports, dashboards, and tools for business users to facilitate data-driven decision-making.


  • Design, develop, and execute ETL code ensuring reliable data loading processes and high data quality.


  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key stakeholders to review and develop data models and ETL processes.


  • Support the Software Engineering team by performing extensive SQL queries for data analysis and validation.


  • Write and execute complex SQL stored procedures and leverage other technologies to meet data processing requirements.


  • Assist in designing and implementing Data Integration Frameworks in partnership with senior team members.


Requirements


  • BS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering; or equivalent 4 additional years of relevant work experience.


  • Previous provider data experience working with leadership on provider data issues, accuracy, and claims platform interactions.


  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Facets systems is required.


  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as SQL, NoSQL, or Python.


  • Understanding of data exchange formats and database design and implementation concepts.


  • Knowledge of data movement concepts and data warehouse knowledge.


  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve various data-related problems effectively.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in related roles.
