JSET Automated Technologies specializes in the installation and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Our work is primarily focused on large-scale data center construction, supporting complex electrical, controls, and monitoring systems from installation through final commissioning.


Role Location Requirement (Please Read)

This Assistant Project Manager role is specifically assigned to an active jobsite in Jeffersonville, OH.

  • Daily on-site presence in Jeffersonville is required
  • This is not a hybrid or office-based role
  • A company-provided vehicle is included

JSET operates across multiple active industrial and data center construction sites throughout the region. This role requires a willingness to commute to project sites within a 100-mile radius of Columbus, OH based on project needs.

Candidates must be comfortable with consistent daily travel and field-based work as a core function of the role.

Upon completion of the Jeffersonville project, this role may be reassigned to support other active data center or industrial construction sites within the region.


Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the successful execution of BMS and EPMS construction projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial construction and data center environments while supporting Project Managers with coordination, documentation, and jobsite-level execution.

The APM works closely with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership to ensure projects remain organized, accurate, and on schedule.


What You'll Do
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications with the project team
  • Track subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources against project schedules and milestones
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and logs in Procore
  • Update tracking tools, spreadsheets, and job cost data
  • Assist with material procurement and field coordination
  • Draft, submit, and track RFIs to support issue resolution
  • Attend project meetings and document action items and follow-ups
  • Support budget tracking, forecasting, and schedule updates
  • Assist Project Managers with daily coordination on active jobsites
Work Environment
  • Field-based Assistant Project Manager role with daily presence on an active jobsite
  • Work performed in data centers and industrial construction environments
  • Frequent collaboration with field crews and project teams
  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and changing weather conditions

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction, field support, or project coordination
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and terminology
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to and work on active job sites daily
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in project support or Assistant Project Manager roles
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Exposure to electrical systems, controls, BMS, or EPMS
  • Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in data center construction or industrial projects
