Job description

Reporting to the Data Center Construction Director, the Data Center Project Manager – Construction will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center builds across multiple regions. This role is central to ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will partner closely with design, construction, and leadership teams to translate ambitious capacity goals into fully executable project plans—owning delivery from site mobilization through to customer handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project) across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Own project budgets, cash flow forecasting, and change order governance; track and report earned value metrics
  • Lead design review milestones (30/60/90%) and maintain RACI matrices and action logs
  • Manage full contract lifecycle including RFPs, bid analysis, awards, and close-out documentation
  • Identify and mitigate critical path risks, including long-lead equipment (e.g., transformers, chillers, switchgear)
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for stakeholders, delivering clear and concise status reporting
  • Provide leadership across cross-functional delivery teams including project managers, construction managers, and site leadership
  • Build and scale project teams, including hiring, performance management, and development
  • Drive operational excellence through regular standups, reviews, and retrospectives

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (Construction Management preferred)
  • 10+ years of project management experience in hyperscale data centers, large industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Proven experience delivering fast-track, complex projects across multiple geographies
  • Strong expertise across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes
  • Advanced proficiency with scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project), cost management tools (Procore, Ares, Excel), and collaboration platforms (Smartsheet, Confluence)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both executive stakeholders and on-site teams
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading distributed teams across regions and time zones
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes
  • Willingness to travel (50%+) to project sites as required
