Security Clearance:  

  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel for security clearance.  

Responsibilities:  

The Data Analytics Task Lead must have knowledge of and access to program datasets and broader information systems and databases such as NSWC Corona Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII), Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), Navy Data Environment (NDE), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

  • Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, dashboards, or other outputs.
  • Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
  • Develop methods of assessing and measuring program performance in terms of organization's mission and fiscal and program targets.
  • Interview of personnel and conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, and methods, equipment, and personnel used.
  • Write and edit technical documentation for digital products and designs, such as user manuals, testing protocols, and reports.
  • Discuss data presentation requirements with programs.
  • Document findings and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.

Experience:  

  • 10+ years of professional experience providing Data Analytics support to Navy programs.  
  • Experience with Navy Data Analytics tools.
  • Experience training other data analytics personnel to ensure their competency.  
  • 5+ years of experience supervising Data Analytics teams.
  • DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN contracting; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; Navy procedures and processes is desired.  

Education / Certifications Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or related field.
