Job description

E-Logic is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a proposed IT Finance & Performance Reporting initiative for the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE). This position is part of a competitive proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.


The ideal candidate will have experience developing executive-level dashboards, performing financial and operational data analysis, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational performance.


Note: This is not a fully remote position. Candidates should expect occasional travel into New York City, particularly during planning, coordination, and stakeholder alignment phases.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
  • Perform financial, operational, and performance-related data analysis
  • Support the development and optimization of reporting tools, templates, and automated reporting processes
  • Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, forecasting support, and data visualization activities
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms and datasets
  • Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights for executive and stakeholder audiences
  • Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to support reporting and decision-making needs
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of Data Analysis experience supporting business, financial, or operational initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or similar data visualization and reporting tools
  • Strong experience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • SQL experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and executive-friendly format
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting government, public sector, or education sector initiatives
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, forecasting, and operational performance metrics
  • Experience working with large datasets and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience supporting proposal-based or contract-driven engagements is a plus
