What you can expect to work on…
The Senior Data Analyst serves as the primary owner of analytics, reporting, and data insights across the organization. This role blends business-facing analysis with technical data modeling to support various teams.
The Senior Data Analyst develops Power BI dashboards, performs advanced analysis, improves data accessibility, and builds repeatable workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, and SQL. The role partners closely with subject matter experts to define reporting requirements, translate operational needs into analytics solutions, and promote consistent use of data across Niowave.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets for cross-functional teams
  • Build semantic models, DAX measures, dataflows, and reusable data structures
  • Translate operational and quality requirements into reliable and audit-ready analytics outputs
  • Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from internal systems
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and consistency checks
  • Build analytics and dashboards using data from MasterControl, SharePoint, and other internal platforms

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and dataflows
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience building reports using data from SharePoint, MasterControl, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Azure SQL and/or Azure analytics tools at the user level
  • Ability to document analyses, models, and workflows clearly

  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field Experience supporting analytics in regulated, manufacturing, or laboratory environments

Other things to know…
  • Full-time position
  • Niowave’s standard operating hours are Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
  • This position will have regular working hours during Monday - Friday with an expectation of adjusting to working outside of the standard operating hours as needed
  • Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
