Job Summary

The Sr Analyst Sales is responsible for planning, executing and delivery of performance measurement across the designated NA markets for the motorcycles business, ensuring that planning and measurement are aligned with sales objectives.


This role will work collaboratively and interactively with the operations team (DPIM and Demand Fulfilment) to ensure effective, timely and accurate communication is maintained. As part of the team, this position will work hand in hand with NA market leadership to ensure supply meets demand. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively work through influence to provide guidance, direction, and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create, implement and communicate metrics to drive results.
  • Oversee the retail reporting activity while ensuring the integrity of the data and output
  • Analyze the market wholesale and retail performance for emerging trends that can be optimized to better achieve positive retail outcomes. 
  • Utilize the Sales and Operations Planning process to optimize the wholesale and retail business to better meet sales objectives.
  • Lead the analysis and development of market share insights within H-D and across industry competitors. 
  • Support the organizational need for ad hoc reporting and analysis. 
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced understanding of current inventory management and retail best practices to perform various analysis and operational activities surrounding forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications with a focus on Power BI.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data from all sources to uncover actionable insights to improve retail sales and revenue, reduce inventory, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and obtain results with limited direct supervision.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and influencing without authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Harley-Davidson Motor Company and or Motorcycle Industry product knowledge
  • Power BI Dashboard creation - preferably including distribution to a wide audience 
  • Data analytics, forecasting, or experience operating in a retail environment 

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
