Job description

Acuity is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to support data analytic insights and visualization using mathematical models, algorithms, machine learning techniques, and data analytics platforms. This position is located at our headquarters in Sheboygan, WI. Click here to learn more about the Acuity internship experience.

Start Date: Summer 2027

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  •  Conduct appropriate research and data collection.
  •  Summarize analysis and findings with accuracy and proper level of detail.
  •  Work with others to develop best solutions and accomplish goals.
  •  Regular and predictable attendance.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.
  •  Follow department standards and procedures. 

EDUCATION: 

Currently enrolled in a formal University undergraduate degree program pursuing mathematics, actuarial science, or related field, and possessing high level of achievement, including academic grades.

EXPERIENCE: 

Previous responsibilities demonstrating goal-orientated outcomes and teamwork. 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and on a team.

  • Ability and desire to learn various actuarial techniques and procedures.

  • Ability and desire to become familiar with company operations, actuarial methodologies and computer systems.
