Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence

Summary of Position: DeVoe School of Business, Technology, and Leadership is seeking Adjunct Faculty with experience teaching graduate courses to international students in both hybrid and online formats. A hybrid/blended course includes a two-day onsite delivery at the Merrillville, IN education center and multi-week online components. Other courses are delivered fully online. We are seeking terminally qualified faculty with at least 18 credit hours of study in Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or related course work and relevant industry experience. Applicants without a doctorate but exceptional technology expertise will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform instruction related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college.
  • Employ a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper class related records, promptly assess student coursework, and apprise students of progress.
  • Articulate, current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning with related professional experience.
  • Incorporate Biblical principles into the content area
  • Communicate with all IWU constituents in a professional and academic manner. - (Essential)

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
  • Doctorate degree in the field. Or a Doctorate at 18 graduate hours in the field. Applicants without a doctorate but exceptional technology expertise will be considered.

Experience
  • Applicants with at least five years of relevant work experience in Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology are invited to apply. Teaching experience in cross-cultural settings preferred (not required)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools.
