Job Description

The marketing data analysis and enablement manager will lead the effort to drive continuous improvement of the data, analytics, and reporting that serves all aspects of marketing execution for Rockwell Automation. You will define the strategy for and ensuring the execution of initiatives related to analytics, reporting, data quality, data unification, and data distribution. You will be strategically focused on the governance and management of data and how it can be leveraged to drive more effective marketing. This position must prioritize data analysis as a discipline, oversee data technology strategy and set the reporting and data roadmap for Rockwell Automation marketing teams.

You will be responsible for reporting definitions, setting data governance policies, ensuring documentation of all reporting and analytics are met, and ensuring consumers can use the data and reports correctly and accurately.

The emphasis of this role will work with RA marketers to support the global marketing analytics platform and marketing databases. You will be the global point person for reporting, analytics, data management, and transformation. You will be hybrid working out of any of Rockwell Automation business locations in the United States.

Your Responsibilities:

Data Analysis

  • Lead the design strategy to advance our data strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical data practices, privacy regulations, and industry standards in all data analytics activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes for analytics methodologies, ensuring adaptability to evolving needs.
  • Define the data acquisition strategy to ensure that desired levels of breadth and quality are achieved.
  • Create the measurement plan for data management, including database readiness metrics and metrics that capture the impact of database readiness on downstream marketing processes.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Manage a comprehensive reporting framework to provide accurate insights to partners.
  • Analyze complex data sets to extract meaningful trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop compelling narratives around analytical findings, presenting insights in a way that resonates with diverse stakeholders.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to understand the underlying factors influencing key metrics and performance indicators.

Analytics

  • Develop predictive models to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Define and track goals to measure the success of projects and strategies.
  • Create and apply segmentation strategies to understand customer behavior, preferences, and market dynamics.

Strategic Planning

  • Work directly with department heads and executive team to provide education and insights on the understanding of data, reporting needs, and developing advanced reporting solutions using tools like PowerBI.
  • Work with senior management to understand our goals and develop data and analytics strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in analytics.
  • Create a roadmap for data and reporting.
  • Create a formal request workflow for analytics and automation support

Communication

Technology and Tools

  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in marketing and data anslysis.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technologies to enhance the effectiveness of reporting processes.
  • Perform requirements-gathering activities.
  • Have a clear understanding of the operations and needs of the company to design useful data structures and dashboards.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelors or equivalent years of experience

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Experience driving data quality initiatives, unifying data from different systems and finding new ways to provide data consumers easy access to the information they need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting and enablement with 2+ years of experience in leadership
  • Experience with data modeling and database design
  • MAP, SFDC, CDP, MTA, and web systems
  • Work with business owners (data enablers) and data consumers to define data and reporting requirements
  • Provide a vision and act as an advocate for data management
  • Creation and maintaining a roadmap based on our goals and prioritization
