Nature and Scope
The Marketing Insights & Analytics Manager reports to the VP, Marketing Planning & Operations and serves as a strategic analytics leader for the Marketing organization. This role is responsible for shaping forward-thinking insights, informs marketing decision-making, and drives measurable business growth. The position leads three core capability areas: Brand & Market Insights, Member & Product Insights, and Advanced Marketing Measurement & Analytics, with a strong focus on predictive analytics and data-driven strategy. This role requires deep analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to connect marketing performance to business outcomes. The Manager is expected to act as a thought partner, proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and emerging trends rather than reacting to historical performance alone.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience (e.g. conducting market research, consumer insights, management consulting). Familiarity with the financial services industry is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
2. Deep understanding of consumer behavior, and macro-economic drivers, with the ability to interpret how this influences member demand, product performance, and marketing effectiveness.
3. Strong research background across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Demonstrated ability to design research frameworks that answer complex strategic questions. Proficiency with tools such as Qualtrics is preferred.
4. Demonstrated strength in fostering collaboration across teams and with stakeholders (internal and external) to support strategic alignment and organizational growth.
5. Advanced analytical mindset with experience moving beyond descriptive reporting to diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Ability to forecast trends, model scenarios, and quantify future opportunity and risk.
6. Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms and ecosystems, including Salesforce (marketing cloud & data cloud) and Snowflake (data warehouse). Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineering and analytics teams to define requirements, validate data for insight generation.
7. Experience defining and operationalizing KPIs that connect marketing to business outcomes, with a strong understanding of ROI modeling, attribution, and marketing channel measurement.
8. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, (verbal and written) with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, compelling insights.
9. Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, influence stakeholders, and develop creative solutions.
10. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Lead forward-looking market, competitive, and product performance analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities to develop marketing strategies.
2. Analyze and share regular marketing performance pulse checks with actionable insights to key stakeholders to drive future marketing actions.
3. Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to marketing and business leaders, proactively bringing insights, hypotheses, and recommendations that shape planning and prioritization.
4. Partner closely with marketing planning and digital teams to uncover insights that inform key audiences, messaging, optimizations, and go-to-market strategy.
5. Lead and oversee qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, including but not limited to, brand health, segmentation, message testing.
6. Translate complex, multi-source data (research, marketing performance, product performance, etc) into insights for strategy, planning, and execution.
7. Champion member-centric and insight-led decision-making across the organization by influencing partners with a proactive analytics and insight approach.
8. Partner with Data Engineering team to build and continuously refresh a comprehensive marketing analytics dashboard and data domain to inform marketing leaders of key performance measures.
9. Define measurement frameworks and KPIs, and oversee analytics related to marketing performance and ROI across major initiatives and campaigns.
10. Respond rapidly and accurately to ad hoc analytical requests, bringing context, insight, and recommendations-not just data.
11. Maintain strong governance and understanding of company policies, data standards, and regulatory requirements as they relate to analytics, research, and data usage.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
