Job Description:

Location: hybrid

Fraud Risk Management (FRM) plays a critical role in protecting Sun Life, its clients, and advisors, from financial crime and fraud-related threats. The FRM Reporting & Insights team serves as the central source of fraud management reporting, analytics, anddata-driven insights, providing leadership with a clear understanding of fraud trends, emerging risks, operational performance, and program effectiveness.

As Manager, Fraud Reporting & Insights, you will act as a strategic partner to Fraud leadership and business stakeholders by transforming complex case-level data from multiple source systems into meaningful reporting and actionable insights.

Working across FRM, Technology, Analytics, and business partners, you will lead the evolution of reporting capabilities, data strategy and governance practices, and management information frameworks, using analytical storytelling to deliver a single, trusted view of fraud performance and risk across Sun Life Canada.

What will you do?

  • Lead the development, production, and continuous improvement offraudriskmanagement reporting and management information across the organization.

  • Maintain reporting inventory and reporting governance framework, ensuring reportingremainsrelevant,accurate, and aligned to business needs.

  • Produce and oversee recurring fraud reporting, executive dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary triage and coordination point for reporting requests, managing priorities, stakeholder expectations, and delivery timelines.

  • Track, prioritize, andfacilitateresolution of open reporting enhancement requests, ensuring alignment with FRM strategicobjectives.

  • Establish andmaintaindata dictionaries, metric definitions, and reporting standards to supporta single sourceof truth acrossfraudriskmanagement.

  • Analyze fraud trends, operational performance indicators, emerging risks, and business impacts toidentifymeaningful insights and opportunities for action.

  • Translate detailed fraud case activity and operational data into concise, executive-level reporting and recommendations that support decision making.

  • Support fraud governance forums, leadership discussions, reporting reviews, and executive package development through analysis, commentary, and presentation materials.

  • Partner with Technology, Data, and Business teams to improve data quality, reporting automation, and overall reporting maturity.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability toidentifypatterns, trends, and emerging risks within complex datasets.

  • Ability to translate technical information and detailed operational data into clear, meaningful business insights for diverse audiences.

  • Strong reporting and data storytelling capabilities, including development of executive-level dashboards, presentations, and management reporting.

  • Experience developing reporting frameworks, performance metrics, governance processes, and operational reporting standards.

  • Strong partnership, networking, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and balance concurrent reporting, analytical, and business support activities in a fast-paced environment, ensuringtimelydelivery of high-quality outcomes.

Assets:

  • Experience in the Canadian financial services industry within Fraud Risk Management, Financial Crime, Risk Management, Compliance, Operations, or a related discipline.

  • Experience developing operational reporting, executive dashboards, scorecards, ormanagementinformation programs.

  • Knowledge of fraud operations, fraud typologies, fraud controls, and fraud risk management practices.

  • Experience working with reporting and analytics tools, data visualization platforms, and business intelligence solutions.

  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, including the ability to synthesize information from multiple source systems.

  • Experience driving reporting automation, process optimization, and reporting improvements.

  • Background in stakeholder engagement, business enablement, or advisory functions.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
