Job description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for advancing SQFI's business intelligence and analytics capability by transforming certification, audit, customer, and financial data into insight that drives decisions. This role owns the reporting and data quality foundation across SQFI, partnering with other teams, IT, and vendors to build dashboards, develop predictive and AI-assisted analysis, and deliver executive-ready recommendations that strengthen operational efficiency and the integrity of SQFI certification.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analytics & Data Engineering: Build and maintain the data models, pipelines, and semantic layers that turn certification, audit, customer, and financial data into reliable analytics assets. Develop dashboards and reporting in Power BI, write advanced SQL against SQFI's cloud data warehouse, and apply Python and AI-assisted methods to surface trends, forecast outcomes, and answer questions leadership hasn't thought to ask yet.
  • Data Integration: Facilitate the integration of data from disparate systems to ensure consistency and reliability for analysis and reporting.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements and system enhancements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process optimizations to streamline SQFI’s audit management system, data, and associated workflows. Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimizations strategies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to define, refine, and manage project scope and requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create clear, detailed and well-structured documentation, including functional specifications, process maps, data models, reports, visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and KPIs to senior management.
  • Testing & Validation: Lead testing efforts to ensure system modifications meet business requirements, coordinating UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and resolving issues.
  • Change Management: Support change management processes by assessing impact, planning, and executing implementation strategies for system updates.
  • Training & Support: Train business users on new systems and enhancements. Offer ongoing support post-implementation to ensure smooth transitions and optimal system use.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Make Recommendations: Must be able to deliver effective solutions to leadership that provide tangible benefits within short timeframes. Identify specific business opportunities and ways to capitalize on them.
  • Project Management: Lead or support projects aimed at improving SQFI information systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
