100% On-Site Position in Airway Heights, WA.  This is a fully in-office position. Remote or hybrid work arrangements ARE NOT available 

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Database & Analytics Manager is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and oversight of the marketing database and data warehouse. This position will oversee all database marketing operations, develop reporting and dashboards, manage data standards, and partner with operational leaders to turn data into actionable items to maximize incremental revenue and ROI for STRC. This role is the primary steward of property data, ensuring the integrity, security, performance, and maintenance of the data warehouse. They will lead the casino database marketing team, ensure the integrity and security of the Casino Management System (CMS) data, and own the reinvestment and segmentation strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

  1. Promote and support a culture of excellence at Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino by modeling STRC values, delivering exceptional guest service, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
  2. Provide exceptional guest service throughout all interactions.
  3. Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and departmental policies, including requirements of the Gaming Commission and applicable state and federal authorities.
  4. Lead the database and analytics team; oversee scheduling, training, and performance management, and recommend candidates for hire and personnel actions
  5. .Serve as the primary steward of property data; oversee the structure, integrity, security, performance, and ongoing maintenance of the data warehouse, including data flows from the CMS and other source systems.
  6. Establish and enforce data standards, definitions, and governance practices, including data quality controls, access permissions, and documentation, ensuring consistent and reliable reporting across all departments
  7. Own the reinvestment matrix, including tier benefit design, point/comp earning and delivery, discounts, and other reinvestment mechanisms, evaluating and reporting to ensure maximum ROI.
  8. Develop, manage, and analyze database marketing systems to monitor marketing activity, utilization, market saturation, event/promotion success, and ROI, forecasting future performance and adjusting plans to achieve desired results.
  9. Develop, maintain, and distribute executive, departmental, and operational reporting and dashboards; prepare and present monthly analytical reports, including pro forma and post-forma analyses, for approval and presentation Partner with operational leaders across departments to identify business opportunities, translate data into actionable recommendations, and measure results to maximize incremental revenue and ROI.
  10. Develop marketing programs, campaigns, and player retention offers that build the rated customer base and increase response rates; set segmentation and reinvestment standards based on observed performance and budgetary guidelines; coordinate with Hotel and other departments on yield, occupancy, and profitability
  11. Direct data mining and guest segmentation projects using the CMS and relational database query tools to extract and analyze carded play history; oversee all direct mail processes, including list assignment, creative, proofing, expense, and timely, accurate delivery, and manage the CAPS account with USPS
  12. Establish and oversee player development, comp, and retention programs, and coordinate with other departments to maximize occupancy, revenue, and profit through the yield process.
  13. Manage vendor relationships and the RFP process for database, analytics, and direct marketing vendors; develop and monitor the department budget; maintain current knowledge of emerging systems, tools, and technologies .
  14. Demonstrate dependability and reliability by maintaining regular, punctual attendance and consistently fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities.
  15. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote healthy team member relations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related quantitative field preferred; or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in database analysis, database marketing, and data analytics. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Casino marketing database management experience, including direct mail, text, mobile, and social, is preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years' supervisory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL/data integration processes, and BI/visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) required; experience building executive-level dashboards preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills using MS Office Suite (advanced Excel and Access) and SQL or related relational database query software; SQL query writing experience required.
  • Conceptual knowledge of relational databases and casino tracking/patron management systems (e.g., CMS, kiosk platforms).
  • Proven ability to independently handle projects from inception to completion, defining, gathering, and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and communicating results.
  • Willing and available to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and external contacts, including conveying complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
