Job Summary
The Proposal Analyst – Mission Critical Division is responsible for researching, developing, and analyzing proposal content for mission critical and data center construction opportunities. This role collaborates with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and business development teams to develop compliant, compelling proposals while analyzing client requirements, maintaining proposal content, and supporting strategic pursuit efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Analysis & Development
  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, and client solicitation documents to identify technical requirements, evaluation criteria, risks, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop, write, edit, and maintain proposal content, including executive summaries, technical narratives, project experience, resumes, schedules, safety information, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and subject matter experts to gather technical information and ensure proposal responses accurately represent project capabilities.
  • Review proposal documents for compliance, consistency, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to client requirements.
  • Research client organizations, competitors, and project opportunities to strengthen proposal strategies and identify competitive advantages.
  • Track solicitation amendments, addenda, and client communications, ensuring proposal documents remain current and compliant.
Data Analysis & Content Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve proposal libraries, project descriptions, personnel resumes, boilerplate content, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze historical proposal data, win/loss trends, and client feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased proposal success.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain project statistics, safety metrics, quality data, and performance indicators used in proposal submissions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of company qualifications, prequalification packages, certifications, and client-specific documentation.
Process Improvement & Strategic Support
  • Assist with developing proposal strategies, win themes, and value propositions for mission critical and data center pursuits.
  • Recommend improvements to proposal templates, workflows, content management systems, and document standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Support business development initiatives by preparing marketing materials, project profiles, capability statements, and presentation content.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of mission critical construction, including data centers, industrial facilities, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, commissioning processes, and fast-track project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or mission critical construction, or coursework in Construction Management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience preparing, formatting, and analyzing written scopes of work, technical narratives, and proposal documentation.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with estimating, operations, preconstruction, project management, and business development teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
