What You'll Do

Weโ€™re looking for an Associate Director of Data Analytics to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you'll lead the development and execution of Principal Asset Management's Center of Production (CoP) in our Pune, India office. You'll help scale global analytics capabilities and drive delivery excellence across data, reporting, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging AI solutions. You'll partner with leaders across the U.S. and India to align priorities, optimize delivery, and expand the organization's data and analytics capabilities.

You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Lead the strategy, build-out, and ongoing evolution of the Pune Center of Production, establishing scalable operating models, delivery standards, and best practices
  • Provide matrix leadership across Pune based analytics and data science teams, connecting business priorities with delivery capacity and execution
  • Drive portfolio intake, prioritization, and execution processes to ensure work is aligned with strategic objectives, business value, and resource availability
  • Partner with U.S. and global stakeholders to improve visibility, coordination, and transparency across analytics and data initiatives
  • Help develop and mature team capabilities through onboarding, training, and talent development programs in analytics, business intelligence, automation, and AI
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and expand the impact of data-driven solutions across the business
  • Champion change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication efforts that demonstrate the value and outcomes of data enablement and analytics investment
  • Support high-priority data enablement and analytics initiatives by coordinating work across teams, managing dependencies, and enabling successful delivery of strategic programs

Who You Are
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, analytics, engineering, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, product / delivery coordination, consulting, operating model design, or related leadership roles
  • Experience leading through influence in matrixed and global environments, including coordination across onshore/offshore or shared services models
  • Experience with multiple analytics / enablement toolsets such as Alteryx, Power BI, workflow automation platforms, cloud data ecosystems, or adjacent analytics and AI capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, prioritization, written/oral communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into operating-model decisions, execution roadmaps, and scalable work practices

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$130000 - $170000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
