Job description

Seeking a Data Analyst to support the CIO Division. This position serves as a data analyst responsible for leading the data analysis for the Division Director to, include visualization and reporting, to enable data driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages analytical and evaluative methods and techniques toidentifyand address strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Mine data from sources, then organize data in a manner that can be easily interpreted and understood.
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, highlight trends and patterns for descriptive analysis.
  • Design and develop data visualization using industry-standard tools such as Tableau, MS Power BusinessIntelligence (BI) tools, etc.
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders toidentifyopportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
  • Create documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.
  • Works with project teams to create products that reflectappropriate rigorand organize, review, and edit written products for format, clarity, and message.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly preferred)
  • Minimum 12 years of experience with data analytics, with at least a portion of that experience within the last 2 years
  • Master's degree in related discipline from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Demonstrated leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing strategic communication techniques aligned with organizational mission objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, supervise studies and campaigns, and lead cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and deliver data-driven communication products

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel will be required within Washington National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.

Level of Supervision Required:

  • The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.
  • Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing and walking on a frequent basis.
  • This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
