About the Position

The Sr. Materials Management Data Specialist is responsible for managing operations research and analysis through the collection of data and development of relational databases in order to improve operational efficiencies and current processes and programs within the corporate materials management department.

What you can look forward to as Senior Data Analyst- Materials Management: 

  • Lead data analysis using Microsoft Access, Excel, and other tools to support corporate initiatives and datadriven decision making.
  • Design, develop, and maintain materials management databases, reports, and KPIs (e.g., inventory, delivery performance, supplier metrics).
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data from MRP systems and external portals (e.g., SupplyOn, logistics providers, supplier performance systems).
  • Develop new metrics, mathematical models, and analytical tools supporting logistics, supplier communication, customs, training, and reporting functions.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain supply chain tools, systems, portals, and intranet content in compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Lead electronic supplier communication initiatives, including data validation, system implementation, reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Create presentations, marketing materials, and ad hoc reports for management and crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, maintain departmental records and databases, and stay current through training, workshops, and professional development.

Your Profile as Senior Data Analyst- Materials Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with analyzing, interpreting, and manipulating large quantities of supply chain-related data and processes
  • Experience with SAP and Supplier Portals (e.g. SupplyOn)
  • Working knowledge of corporate logistics procedures/processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Superior analytical abilities with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment, and interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
